Shortly after a very strong storm blew through in September, I had a great hike at Saugatuck Dunes State Park. The beach had largely disappeared, but what beach was left was littered with all sorts of interesting treasures from the depths of the lake.
Snowy Saugatuck Dunes State Park
I made a few trips through Saugatuck Dunes State Park over the first couple of weeks in January. We got a ton of snow right after the new year, and I had the place to myself, with barely even a pair of ski tracks on the outer loop of North Trail. There were places I sunk into hip-deep snow, so it was a challenge to navigate, but it made for some lovely unspoiled views.
Leah has turned four
It hardly seems possible, but Leah has turned four, yet another sign that I am getting old. Thanks to an unexpected trip to Ohio, Leah’s birthday got stretched out over a week. She had a great time the day before her birthday with Grandpa and a downtown date with Auntie Lizzy.
