Because the girls had a 9am flight on Saturday morning, we decided to take it easy on Friday morning, pack, and then start our day. After getting things situated mid-morning, we drove to the Contemporary Resort for our brunch reservation.
WDW2017 Day Five – EPCOT & EPCOT
We got to EPCOT just before the park opened, known as “rope drop” to WDW regulars. Here’s what the entry lines looked like on this relatively slow morning:
WDW2017 Day Four – Leah Turns Six At Magic Kingdom
Late last night, I was unable to breathe through my nose – a sudden onset of the dreaded Disney Cold. It was truly sudden. Remember, I had been at CVS at 10pm getting birthday supplies, and was fine at that time, so hadn’t needed to buy cold medicine. 20 minutes later, back at the hotel, bam. Anyway, enough of my whining.
WDW2017 Day Three – Animal Kingdom & EP-A-COT
We had an early start today, due to our 8:45am reservation at Tusker House restaurant, which is deep into Animal Kingdom, the biggest park.
WDW2017 Day Two – Hollywood Studios & Ohana
We were a bit later in arriving to Disney’s Hollywood Studios than we wanted to be, but it ended up not being terribly impactful. Being MLK day, this was by far the highest predicted crowd level of the week, and also our only planned visit to DHS. Already the smallest park, the construction projects for the forthcoming Toy Story and Star Wars lands has blocked off the entire rear of the park, packing even more people into even less space – with even fewer attractions.
WDW2017 Day One – Magic Kingdom & Raglan Road
We got a decent night’s sleep before waking up the offsprings, then packed them up for the drive up to Magic Kingdom. Before we left, Aly arranged all her Duffy bears for the day:
WDW2017 Day Zero – Getting Here
Dear Diary, I probably had too many Coronas last night. And I probably should have eaten something. I definitely should not have stayed out until three when I knew I had to drive to Orlando early this morning. Also probably I shouldn't have worn a sport coat and tie with shorts. But the company holiday party was so freaking awesome. I got many hugs, and had great times with company peeps. And their plus-ones. And some of their dogs. So despite feeing kind of shit after four hours sleep while starting the drive, I think I'd probably make the same bad choices again.
