Best Pictures: December 2017

There was plenty of snow, and plenty of lights. Fuji X-T2 w/Rokinon 21mm F1.4 lens.

Here are my favorite pictures I took in December 2017:

Rare Greenville snowfall – it even stuck around a few days in early December. Fuji X-T2 w/XF 50-140mm lens.

For some reason, on a 21 degree night, Nathan, Neiman, Frendo, and I headed up to DuPont State forest for some night sky shooting near Triple Falls. It was very clear, but also very cold because the mist from the falls was brutal.

We also stopped at Caesar’s Head and Bald Rock on the way back, where Frendo got some great shots of us:

Then it was off to cold cold cold and snowy Michigan to celebrate all our Christmases with family – tons of fun.

Leah got the first gift on Christmas Eve, before we watched Polar Express as tradition dictates.

She’s even gappier now – two more teeth are out since this picture was taken. Or maybe three more.

We got to Rochester to spend time and celebrate Christmas with Grandma Jan as well.

The girls got a new friend at the end of 2017, who has not yet been named. His name was Scamp at the shelter (and probably deserved), but we couldn’t agree on a name, so he’s mostly “kitty”, “cat”, or “the cat with no name.”

The earmuffs were a fixture for a few days.

For Vogel Christmas, we bowled and laser-tagged at BAM, the name back to our house for gifts and games.
