Maine 2019 Pt 1

It took us about five hours to drive from the New Hampshire mountains to Stonington.

We arrived in Maine pleased to join Mary Lou and Grandma Jan, and also to meet Gracie, the dog from next door.

I had long been anxious to try some night sky photos from the deck, and had a few opportunities during the first couple nights there. We also had time to get some flowers planted and explore town a bit.

The Settlement Quarry on Deer Isle is another favorite outing, so we took the girls out on a very hot day for a quick hike through the rocks.

We had a few more decent night sky photos, and we could even see the Milky Way from our beds on the second story one night.
