So it rained a whole lot in West Michigan for about a week, and once it started drying out, I made the mistake of thinking it was actually dried out. It was actually a pretty nice day for a hike at Van Raalte farm, but my shoes were soaked about 1/4 mile into the walk. There were several trails on the west side of the property that were impassable, or would be without waders. I had to get inventive to make my way back to the parking lot and find my car.
